Actions against the police
We have a national reputation for undertaking cases on behalf of the alleged victims of police misconduct. We are experts in police complaints, civil actions against the police, judicial reviews and in other areas of the misuse of police powers. We have acted in many of the leading cases against the police. We are the lead firm in the Mayday 2001 group action against the Metropolitan Police. See news page for more information on this issue.
Clinical Negligence
We undertake medical negligence cases on behalf of victims of medical accidents, wrongful birth and obstetric cases, accident and emergency cases, GP and hospital negligence cases. We act for patients who have suffered with poor treatment in NHS and private hospitals. We also specialise in inquests relating to hospital deaths.
Crime

Employment
We represent and advise individual employees, employers and professional organizations on all aspects of employment law. We have particular expertise in race and sex discrimination law. The firm is on the Disability Rights Commission Panel of expert firms.
Mental Health
We represent persons detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 or for the detained their families. We assist clients at Hospital Managers' Hearings and Mental Health Review Tribunals. We also conduct a number of Judicial Review cases arising out of this work.
Personal Injury
We act in all types of personal injury cases. We can act on a no win fee basis. We have acted in cases of severe injury requiring complex medical evidence. We have experience of acting in major disaster litigation including Lockerbie, The Marchioness ,Southall, Ladbroke Grove, Potters Bar , Ufton Nevert and Grayngg. See news page for more information.
Public Law
We act for individuals who wish to challenge government decisions by way of court proceedings called Judicial Review. We have a nationwide reputation in this very difficult field of law. We regularly act for people who wish to challenge the decisions of government ministers, coroners, the police or crown prosecution service and local councils.
